Caramel Syrup (Gluten & Dairy Free)

A delicious, homemade caramel sauce that is gluten and dairy free!

Delicious over my homemade cheesecake.

Ingredients

1/2 cup coconut sugar

2-3 Tbsp water (more for a thinner syrup)

2 Tbsp raw cashew butter

2-3 Tbsp MCT oil

1/4 tsp sea salt

1 tsp vanilla

Instructions

Add the coconut sugar and water to a small saucepan.

Heat over medium heat until the sugar has completely dissolved. Do not stir as it is heating - if needed, gently swirl the mixture in the pan. Watch closely so it doesn’t burn. It only takes a couple minutes.

Remove from heat.

Stir in the remaining ingredients.

Note: This will thicken some as it cools.
